A1 Power Technologies commenced major operations in 2015, supporting electricity distribution companies and their customers in the transparent measurement of electricity consumption. How Preventive Health Managers is Filling the Gap in the Health Sector

With the onset of the Pandemic, Preventive Health Managers (PHM), a health consulting firm identified a challenge of an increase in the scope of services provided in the health sector, resulting in a lot of burden on health care providers. They also saw the need to train young people on basic health and safety skills, excellent front desk and call response, and other basic health-related skills, to enable the health professionals to concentrate fully on clinical duties. PHM also identified the challenge of having young people who already had basic education but lacked soft skills that are required to function effectively and efficiently in any workplace as well as the need to expose young people to opportunities for entrepreneurship in the health industry.

Energy Efficiency Day 2021: How Efficient Cooking Stoves Changed the Game for Mama Audu and 11,000+ Others

Today is Energy Efficiency Day 2021 (#EED2021). Commemorated on the first Wednesday in October, it is a collaborative effort of dozens of energy efficiency advocacy groups around the world to recognize and celebrate the multiple benefits of energy efficiency. As we share tips, tools and stories that promote the multiple benefits of energy efficiency, from lower costs to healthier homes, the story of Mama Audu readily comes to mind. Mama Audu is a 32-year-old mother of five who resides in Kaduna, North-Western Nigeria. She grew up cooking on a three-stone inefficient stove.
