Q1: How has the solar installation training transformed your career and personal life since you joined the USADF-LSETF program?
The training has been incredibly impactful, reshaping my career from a security guard to a solar technician. This transformation has significantly improved my personal life, giving me a sense of purpose and direction.
Q2: Can you discuss a project or task where your skills in solar installation made a significant difference?
I moved to a new apartment a few months ago and noticed errors in the wiring. After obtaining permission from the landlord, I corrected these errors. This experience, among others, has boosted my confidence and has allowed me to help others with similar issues.
Q3: What changes have you noticed in your community or workplace as a result of your new skills in renewable energy?
Answer: People now see me as a problem solver for renewable energy issues and frequently call on me for assistance. This recognition has made me proud and has enhanced my standing in the community.

Q1: How did the data analysis training prepare you for the opportunities you’ve encountered, such as winning the pitch contest and securing internships?
The data analysis training, along with entrepreneurial skills, enhanced my knowledge and enabled me to create a solid business model and communicate it effectively. This preparation was instrumental in winning the Unity Bank pitch contest and securing multiple internships.
Q2: Can you describe how you apply your data analysis skills in your current role at FairMoney Microfinance Bank?
At FairMoney, I use data analysis daily to monitor and control fraud risk within the Nigerian payment ecosystem. Using data analysis and SQL, I identify fraud trends and provide data-driven recommendations to mitigate risks, which has allowed me to detect and prevent numerous fraud cases.

About the USADF – LSETF Employability Program
The USADF – LSETF Employability Program is a collaborative initiative between the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) and the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) to enhance the employability and economic prospects of young Nigerians. With technical and programmatic support by Diamond Development Initiatives (DDI), the program provides vocational training, entrepreneurship development, and job placement opportunities to unemployed and underemployed youth in Lagos State. By focusing on high-growth sectors such as technology, agriculture, and manufacturing, the program equips participants with market-relevant skills and connects them with employers and business opportunities.
