Diamond Development Initiatives (DDI)
Diamond Development Initiatives (DDI) is a Nigerian-registered not-for-profit organization that complements the role of development agencies, donors and other funding organizations by providing technical assistance in the design, planning and implementation of various development initiatives, including the financial and programmatic management of these projects, in a manner that facilitates the growth, development and strengthening as well as ensuring the accountability and sustainability of the projects. Established in 2002, DDI harnesses a multi-sectoral ecosystem of government, business and social services, layering development, growth and strengthening of small and medium-scale grassroots businesses and start-ups – particularly in agriculture, agro-based businesses, off-grid energy solutions, and youth-led entrepreneurship development, and economic empowerment – by providing sustainable technical support in the planning, implementation, financial and programmatic management of such development initiatives. DDI brings deep experience in strong institutional capacity, ability to support projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner, and working with international development organizations in providing business support & enterprise management, agricultural commodity market access services, renewable/off-grid energy solutions, youth-led enterprise support, Grants Management, and employability programmes. In bridging this gap, DDI maintains the ideals of participatory and bottom-top development, ensuring that benefitting communities are actively involved throughout the process.
