Youth/Women-led Enterprise Support: DDI, through the support of USADF, also facilitates support for youth entrepreneurs in Nigeria, providing them with grant funding to launch and expand their businesses. These businessmen and women are working across sectors – from health and education to IT and agribusiness – selling goods and services, creating jobs, training youth, and increasing incomes.
– Over 800 CBOs (cooperatives or producer groups), SMEs, youth- and women-led enterprises and start-ups have benefitted from DDI technical and managerial support and mentorship. They were supported to accelerate the use of proven, evidence-based strategies and technologies to improve standard of living, increase earning capacity and profit and enhance health outcomes of community members.
– They were also supported to access grants and follow-on financing from both local and international sources.
