Bashir currently serves as an Assistant Director and Head, Quality Assurance Unit of Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). He had previously served as Head, Legal Section, Special Enforcement Unit of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Company Secretary at Dangote Flour Mill Plc, Assistant Legal Adviser at Dangote Group, State Counsel at the Kano State Ministry of Justice, and Chairman of the Kano State Rent Tribunal. A lawyer, he holds an LLB (Hons.) degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a BL from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.
